The main attraction of the film is- its stars, theme/genre, credits and often a tagline to create an appitite for audiences to ponder on. With sometimes a dozen or more different posters on display in a cinema foyer at any one time. Distributors and their designers must create new different posters which all stands out
Film posters may vary from international posters to more local posters. Alternatively, they differ in countries because of the countrys different consumer tastes. International posters will have a more broad vision, giving the main idea, story and genre indicaters to the film. More local posters show slightly more about the film, giving more away to the audiences in the hope that they will be more attracted to watch the film.
